The Last 7 Months

I must admit that this year has gotten away from me.  Between figuring out a new town and surviving the polar vortex(s) that seemed relentless, I haven't been great at keeping the photos updated! So this post is some of the highlights of the last 7 months....

Chicago: So the weekend before we were going to head to Chicago like 9 people got shot - not the best when you're married to a paranoid person such as myself. But not I must say that I loved it and am excited to go back.

Our camping spot:

Before we got yelled at for biking here...

What do you do with your bike when there aren't enough bike racks?  Bike tree!

We went to the Field Museum and Aaron was like a kid in a candy store.

Festivals: We also attended many festivals in the fall, my favorite being the Giant Pumpkin festival.  The Wisconsin festival experience wouldn't be complete without some good-old deep fried cheese curds - delish!

Hiking: We hiked to the highest peak in central Wisconsin - what whaaa!

Then...it snowed...and froze...and snowed....and froze...and we didn't go outside for about 5 months.  No but really - it was sad how much we didn't do anything.  We did however make it out cross country skiing one time.

So there you have it - those were really the most exciting things that happened to us over the past few months.  We have, however, started to see grass here lately and are excited to experience the Wisconsin we have heard so much about.  More pics to come.
